Mission
Job Title: DevOps Contractor (On-Prem)
About the Role: We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with experience working in on-premises environments. The ideal candidate will have a background in supporting software development for for hardware-focused organisations. This role will involve optimising CI/CD pipelines, supporting high-performance computing (HPC) environments, and deploying containerised solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
Support and enhance grid computing and HPC environments for hardware or system-level projects.
Implement and manage containerisation solutions using Kubernetes and OpenShift.
Write and maintain automation scripts in Python and Bash.
Collaborate with development teams to streamline build, test, and deployment processes.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in complex software and hardware integration environments.
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong experience with Jenkins and GitLab for CI/CD workflows.
Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting for automation.
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
Familiarity with grid computing and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure.
Background in hardware-based development environments.
Solid understanding of version control systems, branching strategies, and release management.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred:
Knowledge of hardware development lifecycles and their integration with software tools.
Experience working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary environment.
