Job Description Joining the Compressor Design Office for 6 months, the intern will improve the design methods and simulations of complex kinematic mechanisms. The intership will focus on the Low Pressure compressor variable stator vane (VSV) and more specifically the kinematics allowing real-time adjustment of the stator vane pitch angle. The internship aim at developing a high fidelity, non-linear model, in ordre to provide a method to design accurate and reliable complex kinematics. Thus, the intern will have to : - Collect the various experience of VSV Kinematics design : architectures, mechanical criterias, kinematics criterias, in-test behaviour- Build a single model of the VSV system, usable for both kinematics, and mechanical strength design : the deformable kinematics FEM model will be developed using AnsysMotion software through following steps :o Implement the kinematics system with rigid partso Add non-linear behaviours : mechanical non-linear deformations, friction, gaps - Compare the developed kinematics model with the existing low fidelity pre-design tools, and tests results, in ordrer to improve and validate the high-fidelity kinematics model - Evaluate model sensibility and impacts on the results induced by software parameters and synthetize the method through a tutorial - Analyse the mechanical resistance of each part, the effects of friction, gaps and mechanical deformation on the system dispersion and hysteresis . - Suggest improvements in the design to improve VSV kinematics accuracy and compressor efficency. Complementary Description This intership is an opportunity to improve knowlegde and skills regarding aircraft engine compressors design, specifically concerning variable stator vane kinematics. The intern will be able to strengthen their skills in kinematics and mechanical FEM (rigid/deformable, geometric non-linearity) and mechanical integration (part assembling, in-flight clearances). Job Requirements At a Master's level (BAC+5), you are in your final year of a general engineering or specialized mechanical engineering school. You have a strong physical intuition (integration/ loadpath) and a good understanding of solid mechanics (finite element modeling and mechanical sizing of parts). Technical skills :Microsoft OfficeVBA and Python Coding will be appreciateExperience in the use of FEM software for mechanical analyses (ANSYS Workbench ans AnsysMotion basic knowleges will be apreciate)Experience in the use of CAD software (CATIA V5 software) You are autonomous, methodical, curious, and have a strong interest in technical matters. You have good communication skills and TeamWork ability Language :- Fluent English is needed- French understanding will be appreciatedCLIQUER ICI POUR POSTULER
